May Peace Prevail In Our Hearts, Homes and Communities

Twenty-seven years ago a group of Frogtown and Rondo (Summit-University) community members organized the first Community Peace Celebration (CPC). This annual event is a commitment to working to decrease violence and increase peace. The CPC planning team are proud to invite you to the 27th Annual Community Peace Celebration on Friday, June 16, 2023.

Every year, our Rondo (Summit-University) and Frogtown neighbors look forward to this time together. This joyful, welcoming and inclusive event celebrates the true spirit of who we are, lifts up our community values, and provides an opportunity to model and share a vision of Peace. The celebration is free and open to the public. Each year is filled live entertainment, activities for all ages, healthy free food, and information about local resources available from local organizations. The symbolic significance of community peace poles continues to remind us of the history of this annual gathering.

The Community Peace Celebration is a grassroots all-volunteer effort, organized by the people and organizations in the community for the benefit of people in the community. It is funded entirely through the gracious support of these community members and organizations.

Imagine the positive change we can make when we hold peacemaking in our hearts. We invite you to join us in this intention. Make a tax-deductible donation of any size to help us to continue this celebration of Peace. You can complete the sponsor form here. Our celebration cannot happen without these contributions. We also invite you to join our event as an exhibitor, you can register to table at the event here.

Thank you for being a peacemaker! We look forward to seeing you Friday, June 16 at the Western Sculpture Park!
